RC Farms, Inc. grows their Sweet Chestnuts on 17 acres in McMinnville Oregon, the heart of the great and fertile Willamette Valley.
Back in the early 90’s Randy Coleman, who had never eaten a chestnut and didn’t know what they looked like, became a chestnut grower along with his wife Irene and now offer sweet, fresh chestnuts for sale.

RC Farms sweet chestnuts have a mealy texture and a slightly sweet flavor, a true seasonal delicacy!
Handling/Storage
Fresh chestnuts are very perishable. Do not leave them out more than a day or two. If not stored properly, they dry can out quickly.
You can simply bag or seal your fresh chestnuts and store them in the refrigerator, they can keep for months. By sealing them in airtight plastic bags and freezing them, they can be kept for over a year.
